Cade's 1st Christmas

It was Cade's first Christmas and our first Christmas as parents. We stayed here in Utah and made some new traditions and had fun. But nothing beats being with family, especially the traditional Rosell Christmas. Theres nothing like 65 plus people packed into a house, kids everywhere, 9 families each with their own matching PJS, the cousin exchange, Christmas story reenactment, lots of noise, and treats! Grandma's Rosell house was always such a crazy, fun, and much anticipated time for me as a child. I want to make our family that way with lots of fun, love, noise, and traditions.

Christmas Eve we were dumped on with snow!! Loved the white Christmas.
Christmas Eve ham dinner. Loving the 1991 Christmas plates my mom handed down to us haha :)

After dinner we cleaned up and got into our matching PJS and took pictures.
Timothy Family 2012

After we took pictures, we sang a fun kids song for Cade called Must be Santa. Then we did a Christmas program from the old school Family Night church manuel. It was really good actually. We sang and read the story of Christ's birth. Cade crawled around playing with his toys and trying to get the hymn book and scriptures haha. By the end, he was ready to be done, so it was bath and bed. Then is was SANTA time!! Brice and I got everything out and set up. We watched the Christmas Story and had pie.
Our beautiful tree with all the funness underneath :)

In the morning we put on Christmas music like my family would do every year and got Cade from his crib. We took a video of him looking at everything under the tree and trying to get the presents. It was cute.
One of Cade's meaningful gifts...a board book about the true meaning of christmas.
Sibling gift....Ben and Sarah had us this year. They gave us one of their favorite games, an InnOut gift card, and 2 toys for Cade. So awesome!!

Cade curious about his new phone.
Love you Cade boy!!
It was a great Christmas. I have to brag about my husband here because he always remembers little hints I give him about what I want hehe. He is a great gift giver. We were all happy with what we got.  After we had Christmas breakfast and did our last lesson for the manager scene. This last lesson was about the gift of the Savior and giving a gift to Him this year. We each wrote down two things we were going to go for Him this year and put the paper back in our stocking to look at next year. We added Jesus to our manger scene and then relaxed the rest of the day.
